Fernando Jara, the husband of Kern County 5th District Supervisor Leticia Perez, was arrested Saturday afternoon on charges of threatening with intent to terrorize.

23ABC reported on social media that law enforcement was seen in the couple’s neighborhood near Alta Vista Drive and Jefferson Street Saturday afternoon where Bakersfield police confirmed a domestic incident took place.

No other details have been released.

Jara was booked into Lerdo Jail on $20 thousand bail.
