The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation has honored Mark Corum with the 2025 Volunteer of the Year Award.

Corum serves as the Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy for Hall Ambulance. He received the award during the organization’s annual family conference last Saturday in Chicago.

Corum became an advocate for CJD after the sudden passing of Bakersfield’s 25th Mayor and Hall Ambulance founder Harvey Hall, whom he respected as both a mentor and longtime employer. CKD is a rare brain disease that leads to dementia.

Hall became ill in April 2018, and died in May 2018 — two weeks after being diagnosed with the disease.
