A 46-year-old man has been arrested for an alleged killing in Oildale.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office says Daren Williford was arrested July 24, 2025, following the incident July 12 in the 800 block of Beardsley Avenue where deputies responded to reports of a man suffering from trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Williford is being held without bail and is due in court Monday, July 28.
