You might want to avoid a certain stretch of roadway in southwest Bakersfield.

Starting Tuesday, September 2, a pavement project will close parts of Ming Avenue from Buena Vista Boulevard to Gosford Road.

Crews will repave the roadway, adjust utilities, add striping, and upgrade sidewalks for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act..

The work is scheduled for weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. through November 26.
