A 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit southwest of Bakersfield.

The US Geological Survey reports the quake struck near the community of Millux southwest of Bakersfield at around 8:53 p.m. Wednesday.

Most of the shaking was felt in the southwest, south and northwest areas of Bakersfield.

There are no reports of damage or injury.
