More information is coming to light in the case of a Cal State Bakersfield assistant basketball coach accused of sex trafficking.
The Kern County DA’s office says additional charges were filed Monday against Kevin Mays, 32, who allegedly possessed more than 600 images of child pornography.
Mays faces nearly a dozen different charges following his arrest September 4 after a confidential informant told Bakersfield police Mays was collecting money from a woman he forced to perform commercial sex work in California, Oregon, and Washington.
Police say they also found illegal guns, drugs, and drug-packaging materials when they searched Mays’s home.
He’s due in court Tuesday.
