A Bakersfield man will spend more than a decade behind bars for stabbing his girlfriend during a breakup in Daly City.
Prosecutors say in 2021, Neil MacDonald, 27, stabbed the woman fifteen times after she said she wanted to end the relationship. She survived the attack.
A San Mateo County judge sentenced MacDonald on Tuesday to fourteen years to life and issued a ten-year no-contact order for the victim.
MacDonald pleaded no contest to attempted murder and inflicting great bodily injury in August.
