Kern County Kaiser Permanente employees have put down their picket signs for now.
The United Nurses Associations of California and Union of Health Care Professionals say 31,000 registered Kaiser nurses and health care professionals across California and Hawaii concluded their five-day strike Sunday.
The strike began October 14 at more than 500 Kaiser hospitals and clinics including in Bakersfield.
Kaiser workers are concerned about staffing but say wages are the main reason for the strike.
Organizers say bargaining will continue in the coming weeks.
