Kern County Sheriffs deputies are searching for a domestic violence suspect.

Deputies responded Sunday to the 2300 block of Center Street in east Bakersfield where the suspect managed to escape with an armed accomplice.

Authorities say the men eluded deputies by taking off in a car. One of the guys fired several gunshots as they sped away. No one was injured.

Deputies later served search warrants in the 8300 block of Brundage Lane.
