BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — The Community Action Partnership of Kern will provide food to Taft residents who have had their CalFresh benefits affected by the federal government shutdown.

CAPK will be at Franklin Field on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for supplemental food support for SNAP recipients. You should bring your EBT card.

Another food giveaway in Taft is tentatively planned for November 20th.

SNAP benefits expired November 1 as the shutdown enters its second month.
