BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Kern County Public Works has set up nine different sandbag stations as the county braces for potential heavy rainfall.

You’re advised to bring your own shovels and sandbags to get sand at stations located in Bakersfield, Frazier Park, Lake Isabella, Lamont, Lebec, McFarland, Mountain Mesa, Tehachapi, and Wofford Heights.

You can purchase sandbags at local hardware stores.
