BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Police with Union Pacific Railroad are investigating a work-related death in Tehachapi.

Authorities say Rufino Hernandez, 46, of Moreno Valley died at the scene December 17, 2025, at North Mill and West H Streets.

No details have been released about the incident.

The Kern County Coroner reports Hernandez died of blunt-force trauma to the chest.
