BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Kern County Sheriff deputies are investigating a Christmas Eve stabbing in Taft.

Officers say the 46-year-old victim, a man, showed up bleeding from his wounds at a house on South Tenth Street about 9:20 the morning of December 24, 2025, following the stabbing in the 100 block of Pico Street.

The Taft Midway Driller reports the man suffered a stab wound to the leg and a slash wound to his wrist.

He’s reportedly not cooperating with investigators, however the Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.
