BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Two 18-year-olds have been arrested following a shooting in east Bakersfield.

Estevan Romero-Valencia and Joshua Camarena were apprehended Saturday in connection to a deadly shooting that killed 15-year old Jacob Jesus Hernandez in the area of Highland Knolls and Morning Drives September 26, 2025.

Officers found two teenage boys suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 4200 block of Morning Drive.

Hernandez died at the hospital.
