BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) A 16-year-old Bakersfield High School student has been charged with forcible rape and a sex act involving a person under 18, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.
Keyowniija’kaii Tahj’mere Kaibrin Sanchez was charged Monday in connection with an incident that occurred June 24. He was arrested Oct. 8.
Sanchez is listed as a member of the Bakersfield High School football team.
His next hearing is set for Dec. 9 in juvenile court. D.A.’s office spokesperson Daniela Gonzaga said she couldn’t provide details on the incident while the case is pending.
