A man was found dead in the Kern River. The body was pulled from the water Monday morning near Riverside Park in Kernville. Deputies say the victim’s leg was caught on a raft. He was pronounced dead at the scene. More than 340 people have died in the Kern River since 1968.… read more
A 71-year-old Bakersfield man has admitted to distributing child porn. Neal Pendleton entered a no-contest plea to the charges Friday. A charge of selling obscene matter was dismissed..
