A man is dead after getting trapped under a school bus in south Bakersfield.

First responders rolled out at around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday to Hosking Avenue near Monitor Street next to Golden Valley High School to find the man trapped beneath the bus which was being loaded onto a tow truck.

The man died at the scene.

Police say no children were present at the time of the incident.
