A Bakersfield man accused of throwing rocks at a vehicle in the drive-thru lane of a downtown fast-food restaurant pleaded no contest Thursday to felony assault charges.
Quintin Flight, 19, told police he was high on methamphetamine when he threw rocks at a pickup in the drive-thru at McDonald’s at 23rd and F Streets May 22.
The driver was injured by shattered glass and had to be treated at the hospital. Flight was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and will be sentenced in July.
He’ll likely serve sixteen months in custody and will pay restitution to the victim.
