Bakersfield police are asking for your help to find two people wanted for stealing electronic vehicle charging cords.

Officials said two suspects stole eight EV charging cords from Brooks Brothers Interiors on Brundage Lane early Monday morning.

Security footage shows one man on a scooter who appears to be the lookout and the other on a bicycle using a hacksaw to cut the cables.

The estimated loss to the business is $20,000.

BPD says says charging cables are targeted by thieves because of the copper wire inside.
