A Bakersfield man faces two years behind bars after pleading no contest to domestic violence and gun charges.
Prosecutors say Jarrod Gentry, 47, admitted to committing spousal abuse and being a felon in possession of a gun.
Police were made aware of surveillance video that captured an assault on February 13 outside a home on Rodeo Avenue near Old Farm Road where Gentry kicked a woman and spit in her face.
Officers encountered Gentry again on February 28 where he assaulted the woman at the Country Inn & Suites on Wible Road.
The couple’s young daughter reportedly witnessed both incidents.
Gentry will be sentenced August 5.
