BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) –Parole has been denied again for a Bakersfield man convicted of murdering his ex-father-in-law.
The Kern County District Attorney’s Office says Mark Tedeschi continues to pose a risk to public safety after killing Robert Leisten in November 1995.
Tedeschi shot Leisten in front of his 10-year-old daughter after making a series of threatening calls to his ex-wife.
Tedeschi was found guilty of second-degree murder in 1999 and was sentenced to 25 years to life.
He was previously denied parole in June 2024.
The next parole hearing could take place in 18 months.
