BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A bipartisan push is underway to see criminal charges leveled against Kathy Scrivner, the mother of former Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner, who’s accused of molesting his 8-year-old daughter.
Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood told KERN Radio’s Ralph Bailey, body-worn cameras show Kathy Scrivner dissuaded her grandsons from speaking to deputies who responded to Zack Scrivner’s house in Tehachapi after Scrinver reportedly suffered a psychotic episode in April 2024.
Lawmakers Shannon Grove, (R), Bakersfield, Jasmeet Banes, (D), of Delano, and Congressional candidate Rudy Villegas, (D), of Bakersfield are calling on the state to file charges against Kathy Scrivner.
Zack Scrivner was placed on mental health diversion in December after pleading not guilt to assault and gun charges.
No sex charges were filed against him.
