BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Seventeen people were apprehended during a homeless sweep in Oildale.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office County Code Enforcement, mental health officials, and Flood Ministries conducted the operation Friday that led to eight felony and nine misdemeanor arrests.
Agents in the field also recovered a stolen vehicle and removed about four tons of waste and debris from the area.
