BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A juvenile who admitted to killing a 12-year-old boy in Lamont will spend four years behind bars.
The Kern County District Attorney’s office says Javier Armendariz will also remain on probation until he’s 25 years old after shooting Tristen Rodriguez to death in the 8800 block of Gregory Avenue in October 2024.
Armendariz was apprehended on second-degree murder charges in the 7000 block of DiGiorgio Road in Lamont on the day of the shooting.
