BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) –The trial of a Bakersfield man accused of beating his girlfriend to death with a stick has been postponed.
Salvador Navarro-Razo, 45, is accused of knocking Angelica Fernandez unconscious, then hitting her several times more, after an argument in June 2024 at the trailer where they lived on South Union Avenue.
Fernandez’s body was found inside the trailer after a friend told investigators she got a call from Navarro-Ruiz who said Fernandez “was in a better place now.”
The trial is expected to begin once a court room becomes available.
