MOJAVE, CA (KUZZ) — The National Transportation Safety Board is now investigating a helicopter crash that left a man dead near Mojave.
The chopper went down Monday afternoon near Oak Creek Road and 90th Street West as crews were laying power lines near the Tehachapi Pass Wind Farm.
NTSB says the helicopter rapidly descended into terrain during the operation.
The investigation will look at three components of the crash: the pilot, the aircraft, and the operating environment.
The name of the victim has not been released.
