BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Three people have been arrested following a shooting in central Bakersfield.
Brayden Mendez, Alexa Marmolejo, and Joshua Holguin, all 18, were apprehended Saturday after a Shot Spotter activation sent Bakersfield police to Beale Park late Friday night where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The unidentified man remains in critical condition.
Minutes later, officers say they stopped a blacked-out vehicle fleeing the area and arrested the three suspects.
Police say they recovered a weapon.
