DELANO, CA (KUZZ) — An inmate accused of strangling his cellmate at North Kern State Prison is facing a murder charge.
Kenneth Langston, 35, was arraigned last week after being accused of strangling Enrique Gomeztagle, 31, to death at the lockup in Delano in January 2025.
The coroner says Gomeztagle had a foreign object stuffed in his throat. He was serving a two-year sentence for second-degree burglary from Sacramento County.
Langston is serving a four-year sentence for first-degree burglary from Los Angeles County.
