BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A Shoulder Tap sting in west Bakersfield ends with two people getting tickets for providing alcohol to minors.
The operation was held March 14, 2026, where Bakersfield Police VICE detectives in partnership with California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control ticketed the suspects who bought booze for decoys under 21 years old. The suspects were cited and released.
The penalty for furnishing alcohol to a minor is a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours of community service.
