BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A man who faced a murder charge in connection to a fatal racing crash in southwest Bakersfield has accepted deal.
On Friday, Iqbal Singh pleaded no contest to vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence in exchange for other charges being dropped after he was racing a motorcycle on east Panama Lane and crossed his Ford Mustang into oncoming traffic near Akers Road in February 2022.
He lost control of the car and struck and killed Bianca Florez, 19.
Sentencing is set for June 4, 2026.
