LAMONT, CA (KUZZ) — Two people from Lamont are facing charges after authorities say the men were caught with stolen copper wire.
Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies report they caught Rodrigo Garcia, 20, and Juan Cachu, 43, on Saturday in the 7700 block of Buena Vista Boulevard.
Garcia was allegedly riding a stolen motorcycle, pulling a suitcase containing about 100 pounds of wire.
A search warrant served at a nearby house turned up more than 200 pounds of stolen commercial-grade copper wire.
Garcia and Cachu were both arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen copper wire, conspiracy and other related charges, according to KCSO.
