MARICOPA, CA (KUZZ) — An hours-long standoff with Kern County Sheriff’s deputies in Maricopa lands a 48-year-old man behind bars.
Ray Dorman was taken into custody Wednesday night after allegedly refusing to leave a house in the 900 block of Tulare Street. The impasse began after deputies responded to reports of someone trespassing on the property.
Dorman was eventually apprehended after reportedly keeping the KCSO SWAT team at bay for about eight hours.
Dorman faces charges including obstructing police, resisting arrest, trespassing, and terrorizing.
Bail is set at $455,500.
