BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A Kern County firefighter suffered major injuries after a solo-vehicle car crash south of Bakersfield.
It happened Tuesday morning on Highway 99 at Sandrini Road when the 40-year-old man from Frazier Park lost control of his pickup and overturned in a vineyard on his way to work.
He was airlifted to Kern Medical and is expected to survive.
There’s no word on his name.
The California Highway Patrol says neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected factors in the accident.
