DELANO, CA (KUZZ) — A former standout football player from Delano has died after being struck by a car.
Police say Ivan Garza, 25, was hit while crossing Glenwood Street early Wednesday morning and died at a hospital. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Garza starred at Delano’s Kennedy High School where he earned First Team All-State honors in football during his senior season and also competed in basketball and track before graduating in 2019.
