CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (KUZZ) –A 31-year-old woman is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say she broke into a California City home and attacked the father of her child.
Prosecutors allege Charnay McLin attempted to stab the man in the chest with a 13-inch kitchen knife before taking their 3-year-old daughter, triggering an Amber Alert Friday evening.
The child and McLin were found safely several hours later, and the alert was canceled.
McLin has pleaded not guilty to charges including assault with a deadly weapon and burglary. She remains in custody on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Thursday.
