BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) –A state appeals court has upheld a lower court’s decision granting mental health diversion to former Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner.
The ruling came Thursday, shortly before a Superior Court judge found that Scrivner remains in compliance with the program.
Scrivner was accused of taking mind-altering substances before allegedly sexually assaulting his daughter and illegally possessing AK-47 and AR-15-style rifles at his Tehachapi home in April 2024.
The former District 2 supervisor did not face any sex-related charges.
Scrivner’s next compliance hearing is set for September 10, 2026.
