MARICOPA, CA (KUZZ) — Two people were killed and four others suffered major injuries following a crash Friday afternoon south of Maricopa.
The collision was reported around 4 p.m. on Highway 33 near the west end of the lower escape ramp.
Emergency crews responded with two air ambulances and three ground ambulances to transport the injured victims to Bakersfield-area hospitals.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
