BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A Bakersfield woman is accused of vandalizing two downtown landmarks, causing thousands of dollars in damage, police said.
Marina Smith, 33, was arrested July 23 on suspicion of damaging the Kern County Veterans Memorial and the Department of Human Services building.
Investigators said surveillance video showed Smith using a metal object to break glass at both locations earlier this month. She was also booked into the Lerdo Jail on an active parole violation warrant and faces felony vandalism charges.
