ROSAMOND, CA (KUZZ) — A Kern County Sheriff’s deputy was involved in a shooting Monday evening after authorities say a 22-year-old man armed with a sword confronted deputies during a disturbance call at the Desert Oasis Mobile Estates on 15th Street West in Rosamond.
The suspect, identified as Joshua Dribin, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested on several charges, including attempted murder of a peace officer.
The Sheriff’s Office says no deputies or bystanders were injured. The incident remains under investigation.
