BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A woman is under arrest following a reported assault with a deadly weapon in east Bakersfield.
Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded Thursday morning to the 1000 block of Knotts Street, where an alley near Knotts and Gage streets was taped off as deputies investigated.
Authorities arrested Nelida Hernandez, 42, on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
