Dolly Parton is continuing her recovery after a series of health issues affected some of her recent public appearances and travel plans. Billboard reported that the country music legend has been dealing with several medical concerns, including dehydration, dizziness and recurring kidney stones.
In her latest update, Parton said she is responding well to treatment and medication. As Billboard noted, she also explained that she had delayed addressing some of her own health needs while caring for her husband, Carl Dean, before his death in March 2025.
Her health concerns have led to changes in her schedule, including missed appearances and the postponement of her planned Las Vegas residency. Doctors have also advised her to limit travel while she recovers.
Parton remains active professionally despite those adjustments. She continues to work on several projects, including plans for a Nashville hotel and museum and the upcoming Broadway production Dolly: A True Original Musical.
For now, Parton is focusing on her health while continuing her creative work at a more manageable pace.
