Flu cases in Kern County have leveled off in the past month although the danger is not over. Public Health Services reports no new deaths or hospitalizations since December, when we had four patients in Intensive Care and a 39-year-old mother died. Flu cases in California are trending below the rest of the country and there is plenty of vaccine.
