KUZZ “SECRET SOUND” CONTEST – OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. SPONSOR
   The KUZZ “Secret Sound” Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Buck Owens Production Company, Inc., licensee of KUZZ-FM (the “Station”), located in Bakersfield, California.
2. ELIGIBILITY
   The Contest is open to legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age or older, residing in the KUZZ listening area. Employees of the Station, its parent company, affiliates, promotional partners, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are not eligible to participate or win.
3. CONTEST PERIOD
   The Contest will run on weekdays only, beginning on April 13, 2026 and continuing until the Secret Sound is correctly identified and the jackpot is awarded. The station reserves the right to extend the contest with an additional sound or sounds.
4. HOW TO PLAY
   Listeners will be invited to participate in the Contest up to five (5) times each weekday at approximately:

• 6:30 AM
• 8:30 AM
• 11:30 AM
• 2:30 PM
• 5:30 PM

At each designated play time, the Station will play the “Secret Sound” on-air.
Listeners must call 661-842-5555. The tenth (10th) caller (as determined by the Station’s phone system) will be selected to participate.
The selected caller will be given one (1) opportunity to guess the Secret Sound.

5. WINNER SELECTION / PRIZING

• If the caller correctly identifies the Secret Sound, they will win the entire Secret Sound jackpot.
• The jackpot will start at $500.
• Each time an incorrect guess is made, the jackpot will increase by $50.
• The jackpot will continue to grow until a correct guess is made.

Once the Secret Sound is correctly identified, the Contest round will conclude, and a new round may begin at the Station’s discretion.

6. JUDGING
   All guesses are subject to verification and approval by the Station.
   The on-air DJ’s determination as to whether a guess correctly identifies the Secret Sound is final and binding in all respects.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS

• By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Station, which are final.
• The Station reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or engages in conduct that is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
• The Station is not responsible for phone line issues, technical failures, or inability to participate due to network congestion or other issues beyond its control.
• Winners may be required to provide valid identification and complete necessary documentation prior to receiving prizes.
• Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash except at the Station’s sole discretion.
• The Station reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time for any reason.

8. PUBLICITY
   By participating, winners agree to allow the Station to use their name, voice, likeness, and hometown for promotional purposes without additional compensation, where permitted by law.
9. TAXES
   Winners are solely responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes
   associated with prize winnings.
10. ODDS
    Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants and the ability to correctly identify the Secret Sound.

    A copy of these Official Rules is available at KUZZ.comor upon request during normal business hours at the Station’s offices.
