Kern County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who stole the identity of a local fire fighter.

The man used the fire fighter’s identity and that of a Southern California woman to pass checks at the Vons Grocery Store on Chester Avenue, one block from North High School in Bakersfield.

The suspect is a heavy build man between the ages of 30 and 45 with light, short hair. He was last seen wearing a black leather motorcycle jacket and black shirt.
