A 26-year-old Bakersfield man is jailed on charges of illegally possessing an assault rifle and multiple rounds of ammo. Police took Joel Cachu into custody Sunday after a search of a home on Virginia Avenue near South Owens Street turned up the .223 rifle and a high capacity magazine.
