California Seeks To Reopen Businesses As Cases Go Down

(Sacramento, CA) — California is hoping to allow businesses to reopen soon as coronavirus infection rates continue to drop. Governor Gavin Newsom said yesterday he will soon announce plans for reopening businesses that closed nearly two months ago when cases spiked. Over the past week, the infection rate for those tested fell to 5.6-percent, which is below the state’s target of eight-percent. Hospitalizations are also down by 20-percent. Newsom added that over 100-thousand people are tested for COVID-19 every day.
