Motion denied. Lawyers for former elementary school principal and convicted murderer Leslie Chance failed in their efforts to win a new trial in Kern County Court this morning. A judge would not accept their motion, instead setting sentencing for September 16th. Chance was found guilty of killing her husband Todd, his body found in an orchard.
