Glass Fire Destroys Famed Meadowood Resort

(Napa Valley, CA) — Napa Valley’s famed Meadowood Resort is gone. The Glass Fire has reduced the three Michelin-starred restaurant building to rubble and damaged or destroyed several other structures on the luxury property. No injuries are reported, as all guests and personnel were evacuated shortly after the fire started just before 4:00 Sunday morning. That was about 24 hours before the flames raced across its 250 acres. Meadowood has been a Napa Valley fixture since the early 1960s and has hosted the Napa Valley Wine Auction since its inception in 1981. Meadowood’s owners are already vowing to do whatever it takes to rebuild.
