The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two parents after their child arrived at a local hospital. On May 3, 2021 at approximately 6:00 p.m., deputies responded to a local hospital for a child abuse investigation. Deputies learned an infant had sustained injuries consistent with ongoing physical abuse. Deputies discovered the incident occurred in the city of Wasco where the parents reside with the child. A search warrant was obtained and deputies arrested Elizabeth Jara and Jorge Millan for attempted murder and felony child abuse charges.
