A major closure starting this weekend. Caltrans will be shutting down the 178 starting Sunday overnight from 11pm to 4am as they work on roadway construction. The closure will be between the mouth of the canyon and the state route 155. That stretch of road will be closed each night except Friday, June 18th and Saturday, June 19th. The construction is expected to last till Tuesday, June 22nd.
